Flourish Dyslexia Ltd
Effective from: April 2025

Definitions
-
"Client" refers to the individual(s) who request, arrange, and pay for the service. This is assumed to be the person who makes initial contact with Flourish Dyslexia Ltd.

"Learner" is the person receiving assessment, tuition, or support from Flourish Dyslexia Ltd.
-
"Consultation" means educational advice or support provided to parents or professionals, charged at an hourly rate.
-
"School holidays" refers to non-term time periods as published by the relevant local authority or the learner’s school/academy trust.
-
"Term time" refers to the term dates published by the local authority or the learner’s school.
-
"Booking date" refers to the confirmed date arranged for the delivery of a service.

Booking and Consent
Services include diagnostic assessments, tutoring, cognitive learner profiles and Drawing and Talking programmes. A service is only confirmed once:

A deposit (if applicable) is received,

Required consent forms and background questionnaires are completed, and
-
Any relevant school or professional reports are submitted.
Where services involve minors, parental/carer consent is required.

Payment
-
A £50 deposit may be required to secure a booking.

Full payment must be received before any services are delivered, including assessments, reports, tutoring or therapeutic sessions.

Invoices are payable within 7 days of the issue date unless otherwise agreed.

Interest on late payments may be charged at 4% per month from the due date.

Reports and documentation will not be released until payment is received in full.

For school contracts, payment terms may be extended to 28 days, as agreed in advance.

Cancellations and Refunds​
1. Diagnostic Assessments

Cancellations made more than 14 term-time days before the booking will receive a full refund (minus the deposit).

Cancellations made 14 term-time days before the assessment will be charged 50% of the full fee.

Cancellations made within 5 working days of the booking will be charged 100% of the full fee.

No-shows without notice will be charged the full fee.

Requests to transfer the booking with less than 14 days’ notice may incur a £50 administration fee.

Flourish Dyslexia Ltd may cancel or reschedule bookings due to illness, emergency, adverse weather or safeguarding concerns.

2. Tuition and Drawing & Talking, 1:1 Tution Support

48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full rate.

Sessions usually pause during school holidays unless otherwise agreed.

A termly summary of tuition will be provided to parents/carers.

Audio Recording
In some assessments, audio recordings may be used to ensure accuracy in scoring and analysis. These recordings are securely stored and permanently deleted once the final report is issued. You will be informed if this applies.

Diagnosis Disclaimer
While every assessment is thorough and diagnostic tools are used, a diagnosis of dyslexia is not guaranteed, particularly in younger children (under age 8). However, the assessment will still provide valuable insight into the learner’s strengths and needs, alongside tailored recommendations.
Report Delivery and Follow-up

Diagnostic reports will be provided within 3-4 weeks of the final assessment date unless otherwise agreed.

Reports are written in line with current professional standards and may be shared with schools and professionals with the client’s permission.

Feedback meetings are included in the cost of the assessment.
Data Protection and Record Retention
Flourish Dyslexia Ltd is committed to safeguarding your personal data.

Records for clients under 18 are retained until the 25th birthday, or 7 years after final contact (whichever is later).

All personal data is handled in line with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Safeguarding
Flourish Dyslexia Ltd is committed to protecting children and young people. All safeguarding concerns will be handled in line with current child protection procedures. A Safeguarding Policy is available upon request.

Children under 18 will never be left unsupervised and must have a parent/carer or responsible adult nearby during sessions.
​
Intellectual Property
All materials, resources, and reports provided remain the intellectual property of Flourish Dyslexia Ltd. Materials may not be shared, published or reused for commercial or training purposes without permission.
​
Clients and schools are granted a non-exclusive licence to use reports and recommendations for educational purposes only.
​
Complaints
If you have a concern or are unhappy with the service provided, please contact Natalie directly so the matter can be resolved informally. A formal complaints policy is available on request.

General
Flourish Dyslexia Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions. Clients will be notified of any updates. These terms will prevail unless otherwise agreed in writing.
